General Description: A truly different kind of eco-quinta with a round granite building complete with living roof, a nice rectangular building and a round breadoven with a living roof.
Located where the Douro and Agueda rivers join, this 3ha property, besides having a wonderful view of the river,
overlooks the mountains of Spain.
It lies along the slope of a mountain side with a road zigzagging up to the top.
A very pretty and fertile property with lots of healthy fruit and olive trees.
There is a giant well which the owner professes has abundant water all year around and this is evident from the bamboo and other water reeds that surround the immediate area.
Towards the top side of the land are two houses. One is rectagular and the other round with a wonderful living roof!
The round one is small (maybe 3m in diameter) and was used as a storage room. They lie close together and so could easily be connected if one wants to rebuild what is existent into a bigger dwelling.
A short distance away from these buildings is the round bread oven which also has a living roof. This only covers about 5m2.
Water Supply: Big well brimming with pure water.
Energy/Electricity Supply: Too far from any source so one would have to resort to green power
Access: Fine. From the main tar road between towns one takes a smaller windy tarred road which later turns into a sand track which is passable for normal cars and ends at the quinta.
