The insurance world in Portugal is the same as anywhere else in the western world and most of the major multinational Insurance Companies can be found here.

Obligatory insurances are:
If one is employed or self employed: Social security
If one is the owner and driver of a car: Car Insurance
If one owns a home: House insurance
If one employs people (eg in construction) : A workers insurance

Verzekeringen nodig in Portugal

De verzekeringswereld in Portugal is het zelfde als overal in de westerse wereld en de meeste belangrijkste multinationale Verzekeringsmaatschappijen kunnen hier worden gevonden.

De verplichte verzekeringen zijn:

*Als men in loondienst is of zelfstandig: Sociale voorzieningen 
*als men eigenaar en bestuurder van een auto is: De Verzekering van de auto 
*als men een huis bezit: De verzekering van het huis 
*Als men mensen (bijv. in de bouw) aan het werk heeft: Een arbeidersverzekering
